This card is supposed to perform better than a 8800gt. They are revising the current 8800gts to this. I believe its supposed to have more stream processors and smaller die size than the current 8800gts.

If you didnt buy it yet, either go GT or the new GTS I would say ... dont buy the old model. Just wait for reviews of the new GTS if you are interested at all cause the GT is better then the old GTS ...

I have the old GTS 6 months old ... I feel a bit sad but I can deal with that. Still a good enough card. Plus I overclocked it more then the overlocked one that are sold.

I think people will be verrrrry interested once benchmarks on these start coming out. There is a reason why these aren't being widely publicized and it ain't because of bad news!

How are you to know for sure that this indeed has G92? 112 shaders enabled doesn't mean it's G92 core. Clocks seems kinda low too for 65nm. Can someone confirm if it's really using the new core?

That card has 96 shaders ...

NCIX you are spreading false rumors ... It's not based on the GT .... The new GTS is coming around the 15 November at the same time as the ATI HD 3000 series ....

You are wrong. The KO version is also a V2 unit.

The older EVGA 8800GTS cards can be found here:

there are 16sp/tcp

the gtx has 8 tcp 8x16=128
the gts has 6 tcp 6x16=96

because of the performance of the gt they have started enabling 7 tcp on the remaining gts's

7x16=112
It is still on 90nm and 320 bit.

the new gts (65nm- G92) are to be released on nov19th.they will have the full 128sp's but will (according to rumors) also be 256 bit.

I could be wrong, and apologize if so, but this is what is being said around the web right now.

So then what would you recommend? o.o go with the 8800GT (since its better then the 8800gts apparently) or the new 8800gts ssc?

Inquiring minds want to know

What we're saying is - THIS is the part you described above. So to heck with rumours, it's sitting here right now in our warehouse.

Details are still a little vague on the exact specs and details, but it's confirmed these are the new revised GTS flavour and have the G92.

Sorry - you're wrong. We've confirmed this with EVGA several times. They have not updated their info on their web site yet to reflect this new product's new specs, but I suspect they will do so by mid-November. This is the part that's rumoured...

I tried to give the forum members on XS the inside scoop on this card, and they also chased me away for spreading "false rumors", but riddle me this: Have we ever steered the community wrong?

We may have typos on the web site from time to time, but if we're wrong, we correct it.

We're sure about this.

Just open one up and post a screenshot of GPU-Z and then sell it open box lol. But yeah, I believe what you guys are claiming. Just that it's odd you already have them, since they were slated for Nov 19.

Ncix gang. Riddle me this:

Why is that card that costs $150 more, and has a double slot cooler(on a supposed G92), runs at much slower clock speed.

Regardless of the better info you are presented with, you must realize that this makes no sense?

With the stated specs you would have to be an idiot to buy this for $150 dollars over a GT regardless of which core it contains.

If the specs are to be trusted then this doesn't make sense as a G92, if we can't trust the specs, why would we trust the GPU type?

Ncix specs:

# 320-bit GeForce 8800 GTS (576MHz clock)
# 1350MHz Shader Clock edit: G92 at 1350 shader clock?
$400

# 8800 GT (650MHz clock)
# 1.625GHz Shader Clock
$259
