Hi, I recently bought a complete SandyBridge desktop from NCIX ( In fact it's still in the mail) and when i bought it the "Kingston HyperX KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 XMP Dual RAM" was proposed as a special for the motherboard I bought ( Asus P8P67 Deluxe ) I was looking at the overclocking post from the forum a bit earlier and I understand that SB, in my case a core i7 2600k, should be used with 1.5v RAM modules up to 1.65v. the information I could find on the HyperX RAM was very inconsistent but I believe that module require 1.9v to function properly.

In that case, how do I have to proceed? Do I have to request a RMA for the RAM and exchange it for suitable RAM? I don't understand why NCIX would have made this offer appliable for a SandyBridge motherboard as it is an incompatible module.

same thing, bought a complete SB build and the ram was on special with the asus p8p67 pro motherboard and ive been having major issues. gunna be going by to exchange em.

It's 1.65v ram. They haven't made 1.9v ram for a while now. This kit overclocks really well!

I was advised against Kingston ram, for more worthwhile counterparts. I got gskill ripjaws for 72 dollars on sale, 8gb, 1600mhz.
